Each year, more than 3,200 households in the greater Twin Cities transition from homelessness to stable housing but lack essential items needed for a safe, stable home. As COVID-19 took hold in our community, data from our 211 resource helpline revealed a 286 percent increase in housing needs, bringing renewed attention to homelessness and related inequities in our region. It is estimated that on any given night, more than 20,000 Minnesotans are without housing and BILAPOC communities are disproportionately impacted.
Home For Good 2021 will provide 850 local families and individuals transitioning into a new home with a Welcome Home Kit full of essential supplies, so they can get started off on the right foot and feel dignified in their new home. We need volunteers and supporters like you to help achieve this goal!
